“Om Namaschandikayey”

“Om Namaschandikayey” 108 times a day starting from 8th July 2009 till 8th August 2009 as per the direction of Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu.


This is to inform all the bhaktas (devotees) that the Aniruddha Upasna Trust has organized the ‘Mahishasurmardini Utsav’ from 9th August – 17th August 2009. The Utsav (festival) would be celebrated to mark the installation of idol of Goddess Mahishasur-Mardini having 18-hands at Shree Kshetra Gurukshetram. Param Poojya Shree Aniruddha Bapu described the idol as one, which has a very, very furious appearance. The festival has been purposefully kept for such a long period with the intention of making the darshan easy, calm and queue-free for all the bhaktas.


Itenary of Inaugural Programme of Mahishasurmardini UtsavEveryday the programme would start at 11.00 am in the morning. The entire programme would be compartmentalized in 3 parts as follows:


A) Everyday would start with a pujan (ritual) called ‘Shree Rahasya Pujanam’. This ritual would continue till 1.30 pm in the afternoon. Following is the serial order in which Shree Rahasya Pujanam would be performed. Param Poojya Bapu Himself has selected the mantras in Shree Rahasya Pujanam. Moreover they are also recorded in His voice and all the attending bhaktas would have to privilege of hearing the pujan in Param Poojya Bapu’s voice.


1) Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai and Param Poojya Suchitdada Themselves, together would perform the pujan on Day 1 i.e. 9th August 2009.


2) Param Poojya Samirdada would perform the pujan on Day 2 i.e. 10th August 2009.


3) Respected Swapnilsinh would perform the pujan on Day 3 i.e. 11th August 2009.


4) Respected Paurassinh would perform the pujan on Day 4 i.e. 12th August 2009.


5) Saddya Pipadada, Shri. Appasaheb Dabholkar would perform the pujan on Day 5 i.e. 13th August 2009.


6) Respected Paurassinh would again perform the pujan on Day 6 i.e. 14th August 2009.


7) Respected Swapnilsinh again would perform the pujan on Day 7 i.e. 15th August 2009.


8) Param Poojya Samirdada again would perform the pujan on Day 8 i.e. 16th August 2009.


9) Param Poojya Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai, Param Poojya Suchitdada Themselves, together would perform the pujan on Day 9 i.e. 17th August 2009.Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai, Param Poojya Suchitdada, Param Poojya Samirdada, Respected Swapnilsinh, Respected Paurassinh and Saddya Pipadada, Shri. Appasaheb Dabholkar would offer the Goddess:1) Rangdeep (108 Rangdeeps to be offered everyday)The Rangadeeps painted by bhaktas would be used in the offering to the Goddess.2) Manibhadra Kankan (bangles)The Manibhadra Kankans represent the bangles that Lord Parshuram had given to the Goddess, His mother. All the bangles would be of same size and would be Red and Green in colour. In all 648 bangles would be offered to the Goddess during the entire festival.3) Divya Vastram (holy cloth)The Divya Vastram would be of size of chunari and would be White and Golden in colour. 1080 vastrams would be offered during the entire duration of the festival.




B) After the Rahasya Pujanam another ritual called ‘Rahasya Havanam’ would be performed till the sunset. In this, the bhaktas would have the chance to recite Shree Adimate Stavanam - “Adimate Vedamate”(Image of the same stotra has been displayed above. C) After the Rahasya Havanam, daily Aarti (poetic hymn) would take place at 8.00 pm at night. The Aarti would also include one aarti dedicated to Goddess Chandika.
